What a salon or barber website needs (and what it doesn't)
A salon or barber doesn't need a huge website. It needs a fast one that answers a customer's questions and makes booking effortless. Here's the checklist we work from.
Must-haves
- A big, clear "Book now" button, visible on every screen
- Your services with prices (or "from" prices)
- Photos of your real work: cuts, colours, nails, the space
- Opening hours, address and a map
- A call and WhatsApp button for people who prefer to talk
- A few of your best Google reviews
Connect the booking app you already use
If you already use Fresha, Booksy or a similar app, your website doesn't need its own booking system. The "Book now" button can open your existing booking page, so you manage everything in one place and customers book in two taps.
Design for phones first
Most of your customers will find you on their phone, often while they're out. Buttons should be easy to tap, text easy to read without zooming, and the page should load quickly even on mobile data.
Greek and English, if it fits your area
In tourist areas and cities with many international residents, a website in both Greek and English can bring in customers who would otherwise go elsewhere.
What you can skip
You don't need a blog, a long "about us" story or ten pages to start. A single, well-made page often does the job better than a large site nobody finishes reading.
Don't forget Google
Set up your Google Business Profile with the same name, address, phone number and website as your site, add good photos, and ask happy customers for reviews. Together with your website, this is what brings new people through the door.
